Recruiter plays a critical role in supporting the YMCA of Greater
San Francisco's talent acquisition efforts. You will be responsible
for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to
onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience and
collaborating closely with hiring managers to meet staffing needs.
Your work will directly impact the success of the YMCA's mission by
recruiting individuals who are passionate about community
engagement, youth development, and social
responsibility.Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or related field. HR certification (e.g., PHR,
SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience,
preferably in non-profit, education, or community-based
organizations. Prior experience with high-volume recruiting is
strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems
(e.g., Greenhouse, Workday), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other
recruitment tools. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all
levels. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the
ability to manage multiple priorities.Key Responsibilities:1.
Full-Cycle Recruitment:
- Job Postings: Partner with hiring managers to create and post
job descriptions on relevant platforms, including the YMCA careers
page, job boards, and social media.
- Sourcing: Proactively identify potential candidates through
various channels, such as job boards, social media, networking
events, and employee referrals. Utilize tools like LinkedIn
Recruiter and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to source diverse,
qualified talent.
- Screening: Conduct initial phone and video interviews to assess
candidate qualifications, culture fit, and alignment with YMCA
values.
- Interview Coordination: Organize and manage interviews between
candidates and hiring managers, ensuring timely feedback and
communication.
- Candidate Management: Guide candidates through the recruitment
process, maintaining strong communication and ensuring a positive
experience. Provide feedback, answer questions, and manage
expectations regarding timeline and outcomes.
- Intake Meetings: Lead intake meetings with hiring managers to
understand their staffing needs, develop role profiles, and set
recruitment timelines.
- Collaboration: Build strong relationships with hiring managers
and department leaders to align recruitment strategies with
organizational goals and staffing forecasts.
- Market Research: Stay informed on current recruitment trends,
salary benchmarks, and talent market dynamics to remain competitive
in attracting top talent.
- Talent Pipeline: Maintain an active talent pipeline for key
positions, ensuring a pool of qualified candidates for future
opportunities.
- Recruitment Metrics: Track and report on recruitment KPIs
(e.g., time-to-fill, candidate source, diversity of candidates,
hiring manager satisfaction), and use data to improve recruiting
processes and outcomes.4. Compliance & Best Practices:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all recruitment processes comply
with federal and state laws, including EEO guidelines, FMLA, and
DEI policies.
- DEI Initiatives: Support diversity, equity, and inclusion
efforts by incorporating inclusive recruitment practices to attract
a diverse pool of candidates.5. Onboarding & Candidate Experience:
- Offer Extension: Present offers to candidates, handle
negotiations, and close candidates efficiently. Ensure all offers
align with YMCA compensation and benefits structures.
- Onboarding Coordination: Collaborate with onboarding
specialists to ensure a smooth transition from recruitment to
onboarding, providing new hires with an engaging and supportive
experience.All employees working with the YMCA are considered to
have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors.
